Our working principle: “Stones against deserts” saves the soil.
Our goals as a help organisation are
Food security, preservation of the environment, reduction of refugee flows
(environmental and poverty refugees) and thus also political stabilisation
and peacekeeping of entire regions.
With your support we can identify the causes instead of just
Fighting symptoms – for a greener and fairer world.
Refugee catastrophe – there is one internally displaced person for every 20 inhabitants!
The situation in Burkina Fasa has become existentially threatening.
As host families of the refugees, the farming families that we look after get too much into food insecurity. Support the helpfulness of small farmers together with us!
When the most successful pilot project of German development aid in West Africa was completed, we took over the baton. Since then the projects of Terra Verde e.V. and the non-profit farmers’ organisation IDD have been supported by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Cooperation.
When farmers get the chance to build their own future, they voluntarily invest 150 working days per hectare in the construction of stone walls.
For 3 years now, our eco-centre has been teaching schoolchildren and small farmers how to increase yields, recultivate the soil and preserve the forest.
Highly motivated smallholders help each other to build contour stone walls in order to transform wasteland into productive farmland.
