Children like Mouni Zoungrana come from farming families and are trained as tree pioneers at the Eco Centre. In the fields of the parents Mouni then makes sure that 10 trees can grow up protected. This is done primarily through:
As a reward for climate protection, every building pioneer can choose between a school package, their own tools or food support for their family.
Young people can make a big difference. With a great task we help children and young people to open their eyes for their own environment. Anyone who learns to appreciate the jungle at a young age as a tree pioneer sees the world with different eyes from now on. This is particularly true for Burkinabe farmers, who unfortunately often still see a tree as a competitor for sun and water for their own harvest. The young construction pioneers learn in the Eco Centre that trees cool the soil, collect water and thus increase the harvest.
The youngest members of the family take on responsibility as tree pioneers and also contribute to the notoriously tight household budget. The rethinking in the farming families automatically follows through conversations that are carried into the family. Support a new generation, whose help we can make good use of in climate change.
