The artist Sonja Grimm lovingly tears up some of the first photographic works of art to put them together anew. Sonja Grimm found the motifs for this in the archives of famous museums, where they slumbered in the archives as photograms of the world’s first photo book.
More than 150 years ago, biologist Anna Atkins used iron blue printing to create photosensitive papers to fix the shadows cast by plants. The power of the sun has fixed the light-sensitive emulsion on the paper to make the negative form of the shadow visible after washing out.
With the proceeds from the sale of Dust Flower, we help our farmers in Burkina Faso to transform the wastelands of industrial agriculture into fertile farmland – by collecting and recycling rainwater.
The famous view over the edge of the plate is the famous view for the studied master student of painting and performance art with her own
successful. The art plates of the Dust Flower series were sold out in a very short time, as the much-praised collector’s item was enthusiastically received at charity events and CSR campaigns.
We are very pleased that the artist Sonja Grimm supports us with a unique art edition. The idea of the humanitarian art project Dust Flower appealed to us immediately and transports the idea of participation in a wonderful way:
The artist and curator Sonja Grimm is responsible for the Gallery Masterpiece Edition program for contemporary photography. The launch of the gallery, which was founded in 2015, was supported by the F.A.Z. as a cooperation partner with its own magazine. For Sonja Grimm, the exchange in the international art scene is an important pulse feeler for her performance art, which has also been shown at the Bauhaus Museum Dessau and the Frauenmuseum Bonn, among others.
The idea of Dust Flower goes beyond the mere purchase of the editions. Companies seeking a partnership with Terra Verde can look forward to innovative concepts with the creative team of the artist.
